Privacy policy

This is a translation of the Icelandic privacy policy, provided for convenience. If there is any discrepancy between the two, the Icelandic version is the authoritative text.

General
Atmos Cloud cares about privacy, data protection and the security of data, and has therefore adopted a policy on the handling of personal data with the aim of ensuring that such information is handled correctly and lawfully. In this privacy policy we want to explain how information is collected, stored and processed. We process your personal data only for legitimate purposes or on the basis of informed consent.

Data controller
Atmos Cloud ehf., ID no. 630320-0890, Dugguvogur 42, 104 Reykjavík, acts either as the data controller or as the data processor for the processing of personal data carried out in connection with Atmos Cloud’s services.

Processing of personal data
Atmos Cloud processes personal data both as a data controller, in respect of information about its employees and customers which the company is obliged to process in accordance with laws and regulations, contracts, the consent of the data subject or other legitimate interests of the controller, and as a data processor for customers under contracts, the consent of the data subject or other legitimate interests.

Atmos Cloud processes personal data about its customers for three purposes: to give them access to services in accordance with the terms and/or commercial agreements, to ensure that services are adapted to their needs, and to send them information for marketing purposes.

Atmos Cloud processes only the personal data necessary to provide the service in question, and only to the extent permitted by laws and regulations.

Disclosure to third parties
Atmos Cloud will not use the personal data entrusted to it for any purpose other than those described. Atmos Cloud seeks to ensure that information is never stored for longer than is necessary to fulfil service agreements.

Atmos Cloud does not disclose personal data to third parties except with consent, in accordance with the terms or commercial agreements, or pursuant to a legal obligation or a court order.

In order to fulfil its obligations to customers, it may be necessary for Atmos Cloud to disclose personally identifiable information to service providers, for example hosting providers for IT equipment and telecommunications companies.

Security of personal data
Atmos Cloud applies appropriate security measures to prevent personal data from being lost, altered, disclosed or accessed without authorisation. Access to the information is furthermore limited to those who need it and who are bound by a duty of confidentiality.

If a security breach occurs that affects personal data, we will report it to the Data Protection Authority and, where applicable, to other parties as required by law.

Written enquiries or comments to the company regarding the handling of personal data may be sent to pe**********@***os.is. If you feel your matter has not been resolved by Atmos Cloud, you are always entitled to submit a complaint to the Data Protection Authority (website: www.personuvernd.is).

This privacy statement was approved on 29.06.2022.

Our privacy policy is kept under continuous review and this privacy statement may therefore be amended. We will publish any such changes on our website.
